I create stories through still lifes, self-portraits & landscapes, often blending dream and reality. My photos invite you to feel, reflect, and connect.
Here be Dragons, Gateways of Becoming
This project explores the hormonal transitions in a woman’s life, from puberty to menopause. These phases can be confusing and turbulent, but they also offer opportunities for self-discovery, creativity, and transformation.
The title comes from old maps that marked unknown territories with “Here be dragons”, a metaphor for these often invisible, yet powerful, moments. Through still lifes and landscapes, I give form to these phases, capturing spaces where vulnerability and strength, uncertainty and growth coexist.

The Unfolding
‘The Unfolding” is an invitation to embrace the unknown and to make space for what quietly reveals itself. These images balance between light and dark, reality and fantasy, exploring the subtle boundaries between what we understand and what remains unseen.

Ladies in the mist
Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by mist and fog. They envelop the world in a soft veil, creating a magical atmosphere that I sometimes miss in everyday life.
Mist and fog always remind me of the old Dutch folktales about the Witte Wieven (Ladies in the mist). These mysterious creatures dance through misty landscapes, especially at sunrise and sunset.
In this photo series, I give these misty women a platform. Through a combination of landscapes, still lifes, and self-portraits, I explore their enchanting world.

Food portraits
In my food still lifes, I play with form, colour and texture. By placing fruit and vegetables in a new light, I create new forms and meanings.
I find it fascinating how everyday food, like an onion or a fig, seen from a different perspective, suddenly tell a story or evoke a feeling.
